Privacy Policy

Last updated: 5 August 2026

Score, available at go-score.app, lets you follow your favourite sports teams and competitions and see their fixtures, results and standings. The app is operated by Stephen Marsh, trading as GoApps (ABN 43 304 721 985) (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what data we collect, why, and your choices. By using Score you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

  • Account information: your email address. Signing in normally uses a one-time code sent to that address, so most accounts have no password at all; where a password exists it is stored securely by our authentication provider and we never see it in plain text.
  • If you sign in with Apple: we receive the email address Apple provides and, on your first sign-in only, your name if you choose to share it. If you use Apple’s “Hide My Email”, we only ever see the private relay address — not your real one.
  • Your preferences and favourites: the teams and competitions you follow, and settings such as timezone, spoiler protection, calendar visibility, reminder and live-score preferences, and your calendar feed token.
  • Notification tokens: if you use the iOS app and allow notifications, we store the anonymous push token your device provides so that we can send you certain notifications (such as live-score updates). A push token identifies a device, not you personally, and you can revoke it at any time by turning off notifications for the app.
  • Technical data: standard request and device information (such as IP address and browser type) processed by our hosting provider to deliver and secure the service.

We do not collect payment information, and we do not sell your personal data.

How we use your information

  • To create and maintain your account and keep you signed in.
  • To personalise your dashboard, feeds, and calendar with the teams and events you follow.
  • To operate, secure, and improve the app.

Notifications

Match reminders are scheduled entirely on your device. When reminders are turned on, the app asks your phone to show a reminder shortly before anything in your calendar starts. Your device works out and displays these locally — they are not sent from our servers, and they keep working even when the app is closed or you are offline.

Some notifications on iOS — such as live-score updates on your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island — are delivered as push notifications through Apple’s Push Notification service (APNs). To send these we store the anonymous push token your device provides. You control all of this from the app’s settings and from your device’s system notification settings, and turning notifications off stops them.

Service providers

We rely on a small number of providers to run Score. Your account and data are stored with Supabase (authentication and database), and the app is hosted on Vercel. If you sign in with Apple or use iOS notifications, we also interact with Apple (for authentication and the Push Notification service). These providers may store data on servers outside Australia.

Sports schedules, scores and standings come from third-party data sources. We request public sports information from them and never send them your personal information — they have no way to know which teams you follow.

Cookies

We use only the cookies necessary to keep you signed in and to remember your session. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

Calendar subscription links

If you subscribe an external calendar (e.g. Google, Apple, or Outlook) to your Score calendar, we generate a private feed URL containing a secret token. Anyone with that URL can view your calendar of fixtures, so keep it private. You can stop using it at any time.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account exists. You can permanently delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account. Deleting your account removes your profile, favourites, preferences, and any stored notification tokens from our database. Some information may persist for a short period in routine backups before being overwritten.

Children

Score is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above.
