Score lets you follow your favourite teams and competitions and see their fixtures, results, standings in one place. Here are answers to the questions we’re asked most. Still stuck? Get in touch.
How do favourites work?
Use the search page to find any team, or a competition or event — a world cup, a grand tour, a golf major — and tap the star to follow it. Everything you follow appears on your dashboard, grouped together, with upcoming fixtures, recent results, league tables, and standings pulled together automatically. You can drag your favourites into whatever order you like, and tap the star again at any time to unfollow.
What is spoiler protection / hiding scores?
If you catch up on matches later, turn on Spoiler Protection in Settings → Preferences to hide scores and results by default. When it’s on, results stay blurred until you choose to reveal them — and each page has its own show/hide toggle, so you can uncover just the match you’re ready to see without spoiling the rest.
How do match reminders and notifications work?
Turn on Match Calendar Reminders in Settings → Preferences to get a reminder shortly before anything in your calendar starts — a match, a race, a tournament round. These reminders are scheduled by your phone itself, so they still arrive when the app is closed or you’re offline — nothing is sent from our servers. You’ll need to allow notifications for Score when your device asks.
On iPhone you can also switch on Live Activities to see live scores on your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island while a match you follow is on. Cards appear just before the start and clear at the end. Live Activities are available for the sports listed in the setting. Tennis, cricket, motorsport, cycling and golf aren’t included because a single pair of scores would be misleading for them, and rugby isn’t because no live-score feed we can use carries it — a card would go up and never change.
How do I turn notifications on or off?
Reminders and Live Activities each have their own switch in Settings → Preferences. You can also turn notifications for Score off entirely in your device’s system settings, which overrides everything.
How do I sign in? Can I use Sign in with Apple?
The usual way to sign in is to enter your email address — we send you a one-time code, and entering it signs you in (creating your account the first time). Most accounts never need a password. You can also use Sign in with Apple on the login screen.
If you choose Apple’s Hide My Email, Apple gives us a private relay address instead of your real one. Note that Apple’s relay only forwards email from senders it has approved, so if you use Hide My Email you may not receive our one-time sign-in codes — in that case, use Sign in with Apple to get back in rather than the email code.
How do I change my email or password?
Go to Settings → Account. You can change the email you sign in with (you’ll confirm it via a link) and, if your account has a password, change it there too.
How do I delete my account and my data?
Open Settings → Account → Delete account, then type DELETE to confirm. This permanently removes your profile, favourites, and preferences from our database and cannot be undone. Some information may persist briefly in routine backups before being overwritten. See our Privacy Policy for more.
Can I add my fixtures to my calendar?
Yes. Score can give you a private calendar feed URL that you subscribe to from Google, Apple, or Outlook, so your followed teams’ fixtures appear in your normal calendar. The URL contains a secret token — anyone who has it can see your fixtures, so keep it private.
Why is a score wrong, missing, or slow to update?
Scores, fixtures and standings come from third-party sports data providers — primarily TheSportsDB, with cycling results from Wikipedia (CC BY-SA) — and their information can occasionally be delayed, incomplete, or wrong. Scores usually catch up on their own within a short time. Please don’t rely on Score for betting or other consequential decisions.
Are there ads? Do you sell my data?
No. Score has no ads, no third-party advertising or tracking, and we don’t sell your personal data. See the Privacy Policy for exactly what we collect and why.
